A Florida teen, 15, has been arrested by police and is being charged as an adult for alleged kidnapping, robbing, and murdering a real state agent.
A 37-year-old real state broker, Stefano Barbosa, was abducted by an armed suspect who was then forced to drive to ATM and take out $1000 in two separate transactions. Then Barbosa was shot fatally multiple times in the chest, after driving two more miles.
The police have arrested a 15-year-old teen, Henry Lee Lewis -III as a suspect in the case. He was seen in the surveillance footage.
The suspect's cellphone records also relate him to the crime.
The teen was already in juvenile custody for unrelated charges.
Lewis's arrest record dates back to 2018 when he was 12. He was then charged with firearm burglaries. He has also been charged for battery on a person 65 or older; battery on a law enforcement officer; aggravated battery on a school employee; interfering with school functions; threatening public servant or family; criminal mischief involving religious articles in a church, synagogue, or mosque; gambling for money; obstruction; and driving without a valid license.
The teen born in Campinas, Brazil can face life imprisonment if convicted.
If he were tried and convicted as a juvenile, he would be released in less than 3 years.
