President Biden will be bringing back the tradition of weekly Presidential Adress, a tradition that started under Ronald Reagan.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced that Biden will be continuing the tradition of presidential briefings given directly to the people.
Biden telephoned Michele, a Californian who lost her job last year in this week's "A Weekly Conversation." The conversation was uploaded on the White House's official YouTube Channel and the official Twitter handle of the president.
The tradition of giving briefings directly to the people dates back to the days of Roosevelt. However, Ronald Reagen was the first one to give the briefings via radio. President Obama changed the platform and switched it to YouTube. Donald Trump, however, said he found the briefings ineffective. There had been no briefings by the President given directly to the public since, October 2017.
In "A Weekly Conversation: On the Line With Michele," the two chatted about Michele's life and work in a two-and-a-half-minute video, which included information about Biden's Covid Relief Plan.
