The number of foreign tourists visiting Spain has gone down drastically compared to previous years.

Government officials say that the number of tourists who visit Spain has gone down by 77.3%

They say the coronavirus pandemic is responsible for the sharp drop in the number of tourists who visit Spain.

Spain's Central Statistics Office has released figures showing that 19 million foreign tourists visited Spain in 2020. In the year 2019, 83.5 million foreign tourists visited the country.

Spain hosted the second largest number of foreign tourists in 2019. France was the only country to host more tourists than Spain that year.
