Less than two weeks after new US President Joe Biden took office, he reversed former President Donald Trump's decision and signed the Paris Agreement. He overturned Trump's 45 major orders, including H-1B visas.

The reason for following in Roosevelt's footsteps is that the situation then and now is the same. Like Roosevelt, Biden shows he is willing to work fast. He proposed the $1.9 trillion Corona package very quickly after joining the office.

Alasdair S. Roberts, director of the School of Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, who has written a book on Roosevelt's 100-day working style, said: "Biden has made good decisions as soon as he came to power.

Why is he following Roosevelt?

When Roosevelt came to power in 1933, the United States was in a deep recession. More than 20 percent were unemployed. Roosevelt implemented several such programs, which employed the people. He enforced emergency banking and social security laws. It was his tireless efforts that put the US economy on track.
