Biden's newly appointed White House chief of staff, Ron Klain said that there were no plans to distribute vaccines under the Trump Administration.
"The process to distribute the vaccine, particularly outside of nursing homes and hospitals out into the community as a whole, did not really exist when we came into the White House," Klain said to NBC.
Biden's few of the executive orders also include the vaccination plans.
Vaccination programs under Trump lagged far behind the set target of 20 million. Klain said that despite the millions of vaccines being distributed over the country only about half of them have been given out.
Klain also assured that the Biden Administration will be focused on ramping up the vaccination.
