Two US Army National guards have been removed from Biden inauguration due to their Far-right ties. Agency reports say they had ties with"fringe right-group militias" according to the US intelligence officials who didn't want to be disclosed.
However, their involvement in any plot against Biden or the Congress was denied.
Rep. Steve Cohen said to CNN that 75% of the National Guard are in the class of people who "may want to do something" at the inauguration. Cohen said that National Guard troops who voted for Trump should automatically be suspected of being threats.
"We know that some groups actively attempt to recruit our personnel into their cause or actually encourage their members to join the military to acquire skills and experience in our military force," an official reportedly said some days ago.
National Guard, Army, Secret Service, and FBI have deployed more than 25,000 troops across the 44 states due to the possibility of violence in the country.
