At least a dozen of people have lost their lives in a blast in Yemen airport Wednesday as soon as their new unity government landed. Officials labeled it as a "cowardly attack" by Iran backed Huthi rebels.
Another dozen were severely wounded by the attack. Fortunately, all the government ministers have made a safe escape from the attack in Aiden International Airport.
Terrified crowd in the airport reported to have heard at least two explosions followed by irregular gunfires.
Yemeni Information Minister Moammar El-Aryani tweeted: “We assure our great people that members of the government are fine, and we assure you that the cowardly terrorist attack by the Iran-supported Huthi militia will not deter us from carrying out our patriotic duty.”, after the accident.
