On Sunday, the Argentinean Ministry of Health reported 6,609 cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the national count to 1,173,533.
138 more patients died from the disease, the ministry said, bringing the national death toll to 31,140.
The province of Buenos Aires is the most affected region, with 550,939 cases, or 46.95 percent of the national total.
On March 3, Argentina registered its first case of coronavirus. The country has extended its measures of isolation and social separation until 8 November.
