The new mother confirmed the very lovely news exactly two weeks after it was reported, that Nicki Minaj gave birth to her first child with husband Kenneth Petty.
Whilst Nicki had revealed to several outlets on 30 September her baby was welcomed in Los Angeles, she has not been addressing the birth in public until now. The 37-year-old, writing on Instagram on Thursday, revealed that he'd like to thank a baby boy for sending baby gifts after birth.
The sweet posts have all received a special shout from Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie Harlow, and Karol G.
In July when Nicki announced she was waiting, she stunned the fans. Sharing her maternity shoot, Nicki posed as she grabbed her growing bump in a beautiful floral bikini. One of the pictures was just titled "preggers." She wrote next to a second snap, "Love. Marriage." Baby wagon, overflowing with excitement & gratitude.
In December 2018, Nicki and Kenneth, who have known each other since their youth, made the Instagram partnership official before they became knot-bound in October last year. A month ago, Nicki shocked fans by announcing that she was leaving the music industry.
She tweeted, "I decided to retire & have my family. "I know you guys have been happy now. \"To my fans, keep me reppin, do it til me death, \"Too my fans, \"To my fans, I am not checking anyone.
After fans had thought that she wasn't going to make music ever again, she added, "I'm still right here. I'm madly in love with you guys still and you know that. It should have been a discussion on the Queen radio and it will be. I promise you guys will be pleased.
"If I'm finished with my fifth album and I haven't been a kid before that, I would be disappointed, no matter how much money I have, as a woman, because I think that I've got a mother put here."
