NBC News agreed that on Thursday after President Donald Trump submitted an independent coronavirus test with the results reviewed by Dr. Anthony Fauci before the voters in a city hall meeting

The announcement on Thursday will set up dueling town halls for the second debate with Democratic opponent Joe Biden on the night. Biden appeared on ABC TV in Philadelphia at a similar town hall event.

NBC claimed that Trump's moderator Savannah Guthrie and the audience would be at least 12 feet away (3.66 meters).

Trump took a coronavirus test Tuesday administered by the National Institutes of Health (NBC), who tested COVID-19 positive on Oct 2 and stayed three days in Walter Reed military hospital.

Both Dr. Clifford Lane and Fauci, NIH clinical director, reviewed Trump's medical records and said they trusted the President "not to shed infectious virus."

For Trump, it was partly Fauci who expressed his wrath at last days' Trump Campaign for using his statements in his campaign ad that it could reach a national TV audience on Thursday. A quote in the campaign ad was removed from the context from the member of the coronavirus taskforce.

The non-party presidential debate commission had revoked a formal match-up between the Republican and Biden scheduled for Thursday in Miami. In the light of the infection of the President, the commission changed the format to a virtual meeting and Trump refused to attend.

The two city halls start at 8 p.m. Eastern, but the last word is going to be Biden. An additional half hour's analysis takes 90 minutes to the ABC event, moderated by George Stephanopoulos. The city hall at Trump's NBC is an hour away.

In addition, the dueling events are likely to happen to far fewer people in addition to preventing viewers from getting a side-by-side comparison of two men.

An estimated 73.1 million people watched the first debate between the two men last month, says Nielsen.

Biden was sponsored by NBC News last week by an estimated 6.7 million people. Like Thursday's Trump event, MSNBC, CNBC, and the online streaming were broadcast simulcast.

On 15 Sept., 3.8 million people saw the Trump City Hall with Stephanopoulos, says Nielsen.

The NBC City Hall Trump will take place outdoors in Miami's Perez Art Museum on Thursday. The participants are socially distant and will be required to wear a mask before entering the venue and to make a temperature control, NBC said.
