U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that they are now willing to work with China for the COVID-19 vaccine on the U.S. despite tensions between the two countries.
“We’re willing to work with anybody that is going to get us a good result,” Trump said when asked if the administration would collaborate with China on a vaccine for Americans, whether China is first to develop one or not.
Donald Trump says that progress is being made in the United States regarding COVID-19 therapeutics and vaccine development.
"We're doing very well with vaccine development and therapeutic development," he said.
The United States has been criticizing China for initially hiding the extent of the spread of the virus. While China has been criticizing the U.S. and Trump administration for not properly handling of the pandemic.
