Former Brazilian President and pre-candidate for the 2022 presidential elections, Luiz Ignacio Lula Da Silva, stated on Tuesday that he is firmly committed to restoring his country's worldwide credibility and will work tirelessly to achieve this goal.
On Twitter, Lula da Silva, the leader of the Workers' Party (PT), claimed that he wants a Brazil of love, not arms, and that differences will be set aside in the formation of his future administration, because the challenge, more than winning, is to restore the nation.
Lula emphasized the importance of returning to the discussion of a labor policy that guarantees employees the right to be treated with dignity and respect, as well as access to health care.
"We want to restore the rights of Brazilian workers", said Lula, who now leads polls (45-23) for the upcoming October 2 election.
