According to sources, Angela "Angie" Kukawasi, a celebrity business manager who included the Kardashians and Nicki Minaj among her clients, was found dead in the trunk of her car.
The Los Angeles Police Department announced Wednesday that they had arrested her lover Jason Barker on suspicion of murder.
"Jason Barker, 49, Kukawasi's lover, was detained on suspicion of murder. He was placed into the Van Nuys jail, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has already filed murder charges against Barker," the Los Angeles police department said in a statement.
Kukawasi's disappearance was reported on 22 December.
According to the statement, her body was discovered the next day in the trunk of her automobile, which was parked in the 1500 block of Patricia Avenue in Simi Valley.
According to authorities investigating the homicide, Mr. Barker allegedly murdered Kukawasi inside their Sherman Oaks home, loaded her into her vehicle, and proceeded to Simi Valley.
The Kardashians issued a statement in which they said how much they would miss Kukawasi.
"Angela was simply exceptional. She genuinely cared about each of us and made the impossible possible. She will be sorely missed, and we extend our heartfelt sympathies to her family and loved ones during this terrible time," the Kardashian-Jenner family was cited by People magazine as saying.
Minaj also resorted to social media to offer her condolences following the passing of her old manager.
"I am the hardest working, most dependable, and the loveliest person you will ever meet. Angela, you did not deserve this. My heart aches for you and your children. Ms. Minaj wrote on Instagram, "Rest In Peace."
