Rising prices, according to White House economic adviser Brian Deese, are a global issue caused by the coronavirus pandemic, not a result of President Joe Biden's policies.
Deese, the director of the White House National Economic Council, said on CNN's "State of the Union" that he and others in the Biden administration were correct when they predicted inflation would be a short-term issue.
