Two people fatally shot at an automotive plant in Indiana

Two people were fatally shot at an automotive plant in Indiana according to the local Sherrif's office in Clinton County.

A 62-year-old woman and her 21-year-old granddaughter were killed on Wednesday, County Sherrid Rich Kelly in a press conference.

Pamela Sled and her granddaughter Promise mays were found dead after the police responded to multiple calls about gunshots in the parking lot of the NHK Seating of America plant in Frankfort, located about 47 miles northwest of Indianapolis. 

Authorities said that the gunman shot and killed the two women before leaving the scene in a blue Ford, after which Kelly said authorities in the area were “able to get him stopped within probably 45 seconds to a minute of him leaving the facility.” 

Both grandmother and daughter worked at the automotive plant and were arriving for a shift change around 4:15 pm for the shift change, Kelly said.

Kelly said that suspect was arrested after he crashed the car in a construction zone.

According to the co-workers, the suspect Gary C. Ferrell II, 26 who worked the day shift in the plant.

It is not yet certain what triggered the incident.
