Drone footage on Friday showed the sudden snowfall around the town of Bom Jardim da Serra in Brazil's southern mountains.
Roads and fields were snow-covered, as well as mountain peaks. Residents avoided using vehicles because of the sliding hazard created.
Bom Jardim da Serra, population 4,772, is one of the coldest cities in Brazil, with temperatures falling to -8 C (17.6 F) in the past week.
