Elon Musk recalls for carbon tax

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, renewed his proposal for a carbon tax on Thursday, claiming that the Biden administration had rejected the idea because it was "politically difficult."

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, clearly tweeted, "It's about time there was a carbon tax!"

The tweet echoes a comment he made earlier this year on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. During the conversation, he mentioned that he had shared a plan for introducing the tax with the Biden administration.

"I spoke with the Biden Government, the new administration, and they said, 'Well, this seems to be too politically complicated,'" he said.

"It's not like we shouldn't have carbon-generated things; there should be a price on this material," he continued, adding that SpaceX will also be subject to a carbon tax. "The economy is in excellent shape. Prices and money are merely indicators. If the price is incorrect, the economy will not act appropriately."
