The California Department of Public Health announced a restructured set of rules which will now dictate when can the amusement parks and sports stadium reopen.

The State has a four-tier system under which such establishment could only reopen when the county they are located in reached the yellow or least restrictive tier.

The restructured system makes it possible to re-open amusement with 15% of the capacity for the red tier or the second most restrictive tier.

In the third most restrictive Orange tier. they can be reopened to 25% of the Capacity. Similarly, for the yellow tier counties, amusement parks can open to 35 percent of their capacity.

In the case of Outdoor sports and live performance venues, such venues can open to 100 people under the most-strict purple tier, 20% in the red tier, 33% in the yellow tier, and 67% in the yellow tier.

Dr. Mark Ghaly, secretary of the California Health and Human Services Agency said California can gradually begin to safely bring back the outdoor activities as the hospitalizations begin to decrease significantly.

"Even with these changes, California retains some of the most robust public health protocols in the country," he said.

California's Disneyland and Universal Studio Park have been shut down since last March.
