Popular American Actor Alec Baldwin deleted his Twitter account following the backlash after his tweet over Gillian Anderson switching accents.
Alec Baldwin shared a video on Instagram saying he is no longer on Twitter.
"I just wrote, 'Oh, that's interesting,'" he said. "And of course, you can't do any irony on Twitter – you can't do any irony in the United States anymore because the United States is such [an] uptight, stressed-out place and such an unpleasant place right now," he said in the video.
Baldwin had tweeted out a CNN-story which reflected Gillian Andersen using her original American accent on 2019 golden globes, despite she typically performs in a British Accent.
He had tweeted, "Switching accents ? That sounds...fascinating," with the link.
