The US House of Representatives has passed the $1.9 trillion pandemic relief bill. After the passage by the House, the bill now moves for a tense battle in the Senate.

After the House passed the bill, Biden said on early Saturday, there is no time to waste.  “We act now – decisively, quickly, and boldly – we can finally get ahead of this virus. We can finally get our economy moving again. People in this country have suffered far too much for too long,” president Joe Biden said at the White House after the passage.

All the 210 Republicans and two other Democrats voted against the Bill while the rest voted for the bill. The Coronavirus rescue bill has been described as an essential step that has to be done to rebound the economy.

Republicans say that the bill is too expensive and essentially describe it as a waste of money. House minority leader Kevin McCarthy said that the bill said to be bold, urgent, and popular is actually bloated, unfocused, and entirely partisan.

The bill comes with a $1,400 stimulus check, an increase in tax subsidies for children, health care, unemployment benefits, etc. 

The battle in the Senate would be difficult as the senate is 50-50 controlled senate can be swung anyway.
