Philadelphia Cop drives car into a house; A dog killed and Two residents injured

A Philadelphia police officer was arrested for driving under the influence after he drove into a house on Saturday night, while he was off duty. The incident killed a dog and injured two residents. A 53-year-old woman was tucked under the vehicle and was critically injured.

Gregory Campbell, 27, was off duty when the incident unfolded around 8:20 am, according to a statement from the Philadelphia Police Department.

Authorities say that Campbell was driving in a residential neighborhood of South Florida when he lost control of his car, breaking into the house penetrating the facade.

 Another injured was a 45-years-old husband of the injured woman. Police say that the woman was pinned under the car and had to be rescued by firefighters.

The woman was unconscious and drove to a nearby Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia. Authorities say she is in critical condition.

Her husband is also being treated for bruises and several injuries. He is said to have injuries to his arm, hand, hip, and leg, as well as road-rash injuries to his back.

Police also said that the couple's two dogs were struck by the car and one of which was dead.

Campbell is also taken to Torresdale Hospital after he faced severe head injuries following the accident. He has been under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and aggravated assault.
