The US Senate has officially passed the $1.9T COVID relief bill on Friday. The bill had to go to the tie-breaker after the vote ended 50-50.

The largely ambitious COVID relief bill includes $400billion separated for fighting COVID 19 and vaccine testing. It also includes $1T direct relief plans with $1,400 stimulus checks as well as unemployment and insurance benefits. The plan further includes $440B additional aids to communities and businesses.

The plan proposed by Biden also demands a $15 minimum wage for the workers.

Senate passed several bills that will return to the house for discussion. Although democrats fully control the house, President could have to negotiate with lawmakers of his own's party to pass the bill.
