Adam Sandler's new film Hubie Halloween is now available for streaming on Netflix-and viewers have noticed a touching tribute to his late co-star Cameron Boyce.

Boyce, who starred in Grown Ups alongside Adam Sandler, died at the age of 20 in July 2019 due to 'a continuing medical condition.'

The tribute is part of the way through credits and has the message: "In the loving memory of Cameron Boyce.

"It's gone too soon, and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, most talented children we've ever known. You live forever in our hearts and are truly missed every day.

It's accompanied by a photo of the child star, who made his name on Disney's Descendants show.

Boyce played Sandler's spoilt on-screen son in both Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2, and he was actually supposed to be in Hubie Halloween. Fans were moved by a heartbreaking message.

In May, Sandler posted a birthday message to his friend and mentee on Instagram.

It read: "Happy Cameron's birthday. He'd be 21 years old, such a great kid. We all miss him a lot, especially his incredible family."

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Sandler said he had passed away a few days before Hubie Halloween's filming began. He added, "This kid was a great kid. His family is amazing. I watched him grow up and become a superstar.

"My children worshiped him. He came to the mitzvah bat of my daughter. He came and literally signed — I mean, that bat mitzvah was gigantic, there were 400 people out there, and every kid's autograph was signed.

"He was just the nicest kid. He'd always have charitable organizations going on. He'd always talk to me, 'Can you do this, can you do that?' It's always been charitable. He never cared about anything else. Just a nice, solid, talented kid."
