Three people were shot while two were dead, on Wednesday during the third night of protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, at Jacob Blake protest as gunfire breaks out.

"The shooting resulted in two fatalities and a third gunshot victim was transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries," the city's police force said.

Police in riot gear fired rubber bullets, tear gas and flash-bang rounds as they skirmished after dark with 300 to 400 demonstrators defying a dawn-to-dusk curfew outside a courthouse and adjacent park in downtown Kenosha.

The police shot Jacob Blake on Sunday that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Clashes between protesters and law enforcement continued on Tuesday night into Wednesday, with police firing tear gas and rubber bullets while demonstrators threw objects at police in a standoff outside the county courthouse that violated the city’s curfew.

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth warned protesters Tuesday night that they would not allow for destruction to continue. He also said while many are peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights, people from "outside" the community are coming in looking to loot and cause destruction.

Blake, who had been attempting to break up a quarrel between two women, was struck by four of seven gunshots fired at him, all by one officer, and there was "no indication he was armed," Crump said in an ABC News interview on Tuesday.

The police have not explained why Blake was shot.
