The United States Supreme Court has cleared the first execution of federal inmates in nearly two decades.
Triple murderer Daniel Lewis lee is scheduled to die by lethal injection at 4 pm Monday at a prison Terre Haute, Indiana.
Lee, a member of the white supremacist group, tortured and murdered a gun dealer William Mueller, his wife, Nancy, and her 8-year-old daughter, Sarah Powell., in January 1996 in Arkansas.
Their family has argued that lee shouldn’t be injected- should be given a life sentence in jail.
Lee, his victim’s family members, and the DOJ petitioned the United States Supreme Court to delay Monday’s execution for various unresolved legal challenges against the justice department.
